Temporary traffic control changes will come into force in part of Inverness city centre next week.
Drivers will experience manual traffic control during the day on the Academy Street-Friars Lane-Chapel Street junction from Monday November 12 to Friday November 16.
The existing traffic signals will be switched off and replaced by temporary signals.
Traffic will be manually controlled during the day between 7am and 7pm so that the road can be reduced to a single lane.
The measures are in the interests of public safety while William Gray Construction carries out refurbishment work on the former Citizen’s Advice building on Academy Street.
The construction company needs to dig up the road to install water main and sewer connections.
The pedestrian crossings at the Ironworks will also be disabled during this period, but there are other crossing options, like the zebra crossing next to the old Telephone Exchange nearby.
