Fire crews are today in attendance at a fire in Inverness above the famed Johnny Foxes bar and restaurant.
A cordon was set up on Bridge Street in the Highland capital causing chaos for morning commuters after a fire broke out on a first-floor apartment balcony.
Around 20 firefighters from four Inverness appliances were in attendance with flames visible from the walkway below Inverness Castle. An ambulance was also mobilised to the scene with one person treated on scene for smoke inhalation but did not require further treatment or transfer to hospital.
Four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire.
A cordon was set up by police on the B861 at Bridge Street stretching from the corner of Zizzi’s Restaurant to the entrance of Primark, with morning commuters experiencing delays and diversions as access through the B861 was denied.
