Ross County’s Iain Vigurs arrested and charged following Inverness city centre ‘disturbance’

A north football star has been charged in connection with a disturbance at an Inverness nightspot.
Ross County FC midfielder Iain Vigurs, 30, was arrested following the incident in the early hour of Sunday morning.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed: “A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance in the Bank Street area of Inverness in the early hours of Sunday, February 3.”
He was not held in custody. It will be up to the Procurator Fiscal to decide the charge and whether to proceed to court.
The club will also review the matter in line with our Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedure. (2/2)
A statement issued by the Championship club said: “Ross County FC are aware that one of our players was arrested by police in Inverness City Centre in the early hours of 3rd February 2019.
“As this is a police investigation it would be inappropriate to make any further comment.
“The club will also review the matter in line with our Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedure.”
