Police in Inverness are appealing for information after a man was assaulted on the tow path next to the Caledonian Canal.
The incident happened around 10.30pm on Monday, April 22 near Suilven Way.
The victim was approached from behind and assaulted by two men, who then fled with his black string bag and its contents.
The man’s injuries are not thought to be serious.
No detailed description is available of the two men, who were last seen heading in the direction of Torvean Golf Club.
Detective Sergeant Chris Macleod said: “I would urge anyone who may have been around the area on Monday evening to come forward if you believe you may have seen anything of interest.
