Polling stations across Highland will be open from 7am to 10pm tomorrow for the European elections.
Highland Council’s chief executive Donna Manson is the returning officer for the Highland Council counting area.
She said: “We want to make sure people know that they should use a single X when they vote in this election.
“The X should be placed in the empty box alongside the chosen party or candidate.
“Everyone who is registered to vote should have received a card with details of the polling place where they can cast their vote but if they have any queries they should get in touch with our election team on 01349 886657.”
The Statement of Parties and Individual Candidates Nominated and Notice of Poll can be found on the Council’s website www.highland.gov.uk
The Highland count will take place on Sunday at the Football Academy in Dingwall from 4.30pm.
The result will be relayed to the Scottish Regional Returning Officer.
The Highland Council will be keeping people up-to-date during the different stages of Sundays count through their Facebook and Twitter accounts @HighlandCouncil
Already more than 16,551 people have returned postal votes. Those still to post their vote must do so by Wednesday or take their envelope to any of the Highland polling stations on Thursday before 10 pm.
