Two high-value vehicles stolen from Inverness car dealership

Two high-value cars were stolen from an Inverness dealership.

The two Audi S-Line black editions were taken from Top Car on Harbour Road sometime overnight.

One is a grey A6 estate, registration ST13 KBO, and the other an A5 in silver, registration SQ11 DKU.

Detective Sergeant Graeme Johnstone said: “Our inquiries are ongoing into this theft and I would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around the Harbour Road area to come forward as soon as possible.

“Similarly anyone who believes they may have seen either of the two cars described at any time since should get in touch.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101, quoting reference NN4398/19, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Inquiries are also ongoing into an earlier theft of three vehicles from Culloden Car Sales during the early hours of Sunday, June 30.

Two of the vehicles – a grey Range Rover and a white Mercedes CLA – have since been recovered in Inverness and Dundee respectively, while a third – a green Ford Focus, registration RS10 FOR – remains outstanding.

Detective Sergeant Johnstone added: “Our inquiries into both of these incidents are ongoing and we are keeping an open mind on whether they are linked.

“Given the Mercedes vehicle was recovered in Dundee, we would ask people further afield than Inverness to be vigilant and to let us know if they believe they have seen any of the outstanding vehicles.

“While these recent incidents have involved garages, it is worth reminding people to make sure your vehicle is securely locked when unattended.

“Also keep the keys out of easy reach through a door or window and do not store anything valuable in plain sight in your vehicle as this could attract opportunist thieves.”
