A new hospitality manager has been appointed to Inverness-based care provider Meallmore to ensure the maintenance of the group’s strict standards are maintained across its 23 care homes.
Jody Marshall has joined the group following an extensive career in the hospitality industry, which has entailed spells at some of the nation’s most iconic hotels and popular touring areas.
Mr Marshall said: “Meallmore believes in giving residents tasty and fulfilling meal choices, using fresh local produce and prepared by well-trained chefs who are passionate about their craft.
“I am a strong advocate for aiming high and bringing good staff through the system.
“In previous roles, I have mentored chefs through to the finals of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts excellence awards, and I know that Meallmore has enthusiastic chefs who are as keen as I am to refine their skills.”
Mr Marshall’s new role will see the hospitality chief work alongside Meallmore’s regional development chefs, Stuart Middleton and John Hyslop.
The care home group is renowned as one of the leading providers of nursing and residential care across Scotland, providing experienced qualified nurses and care staff to address the needs of its residents.
The former Scottish General Manager of the Year winner added: “Good hospitality goes beyond the kitchen and also includes hospitality service staff and others who interact with our residents.
“The key to great hospitality management is attention to detail, and this holds true whether it is a large hotel or a care home.
“I believe that good nutrition adds to quality of life and I think that Meallmore also understands the importance of this.
“I look forward to working with my staff to keep Meallmore’s standards high.”
