Rescuers have been stood down at Loch Ness after stranded canoeists were found safe and well.
A group of three canoes was separated near Drumnadrochit earlier this evening.
The alarm was raised after one of the vessels arrived at their intended destination of Dores.
But when the Loch Ness RNLI lifeboat crew tracked down the two unaccounted for canoes, they found the missing four people to have settled down for the night on the shore.
A coastguard spokesman said: “They had been split up and concern was raised as it turned up.
“They were safe and well and had set up tents.
“The Inverness coastguard team went down to speak to them but they were fine.”
