A female was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after being involved in a two-vehicle crash this morning.
Emergency services attended the collision on the A96 at Gollanfield near the Inverness airport at 8.15am.
Fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove a door from one of the cars.
The road was partially blocked until around 11am with police allowing motorists to pass one lane at a time.
A spokeswoman said: “Two fire appliances from Inverness joined police in attending the two-vehicle crash on the A96.
“Hydraulic cutting equipment was used to remove a car door.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service statement said: “One ambulance was dispatched to the scene and transported one female patient to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.”
