Westlife will play at Inverness’s Caledonian Stadium next summer, it has been announced.
The Irish popstars will visit the Highland capital on June 28, nine days after beginning their summer stadium tour in Norwich and the day after their only other Scottish date in Falkirk.
The tour, which covers 15 dates across some of the UK’s biggest outdoor venues, includes Westlife’s first-ever Wembley Stadium show on August 22.
Tickets for the Inverness gig go on sale at 9am on November 8 from www.gigsinscotland.com with pre-sale tickets on sale at 9am on November 5.
The group’s new album, Spectrum, will be released on November 15.
A statement from the band said: “The reaction to our comeback tour was beyond anything any of us ever imagined so we’re going to do it all over again but this time in some of the largest outdoor venues in the UK.
“The shows are going to be incredible and will include all our greatest hits. We can’t wait to perform in Falkirk and Inverness.”
Westlife have sold more than 55 million records worldwide and are the only band to have their first seven singles enter the UK chart at number one.
They also have the most singles of any artist to debut at number one in the UK.
Overall, the band has had 14 number one singles, behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
