The fire, believed to have taken hold in a bed, was in a semi-detached house in a cul-de-sac in Wester Inshes Place. The alarm was raised at 5.45pm and two appliances along with two ambulances and a pair of police vehicles attended. A fire service spokeswoman confirmed that one man has been taken to hospital, but it is not known how severe his injuries may be. She added: “The fire was out when the crews arrived, and they were not required to deploy any equipment.” Inquiries into the cause of the fire are ongoing. The firefighters left the scene at 6.38pm.
