A man has been rushed to hospital after a three car crash on the A9.
Emergency services were called to the Munlochy junction on the road around 6.55pm after a collision involving three cars.
One of the casualties – an adult man – is being rushed to Raigmore Hospital.
Another male is being treated by doctors at the scene and a woman is being cared for by the ambulance service.
The severity of their injuries is unknown.
Fire fighters from Inverness and Fortrose were also on scene as hydraulic equipment was used for the incident.
A spokesman said: “The call came through from the ambulance services at 7.04pm to us saying it’s a three vehicle road traffic collision.
“There are three casualties – one adult male is on route to Raigmore, one adult male is being treated by the doctors on scene and one adult female is being treated by ambulance services.
“We sent two appliances from Inverness and a heavy rescue unit and appliance from Fortrose.
“Hydraulic cutting gear was in use at the scene.
“The stop message has now been sent through so we will be leaving shortly.”
A spokeswoman for police confirmed the incident was “on going”.
