Highland residents have dived into Loch Ness in support of their local food bank.
Around two dozen residents braved the winter chill at Dores on Boxing Day to take part in the Loch Ness Dip in aid of Blythswood Care.
The event was organised by Gavin Johnston, managing director of Inverness taxi firm IT Taxis.
It was launched to help raise vital donations for the Christian charity which provides life-saving food parcels to struggling Highland families.
Taking to social media following the event, the company thanked participants for their generosity.
An IT Taxis spokesman said: “Big thank you to everyone that took part and made donation, and not forgetting the RNLI who came out to make sure everyone was safe.
“We will definitely be making plans for another one next year.”
An online crowdfunding appeal has also been launched, with £335 of its £1,000 fundraising target reached so far.
