Two Inverness schools will have their rolls capped for the next school year, Highland Council has announced.
Lochardil Primary and Culloden Academy will have their places for the 2020-21 academic limited because of ongoing pressure on their capacity.
Lochardil was among four primary schools in the city, along with Holm, Kinmylies and Milton of Leys, which had its roll capped in 2019-20.
Culloden, along with Charleston and Millburn, was one of three secondary schools in Inverness that had a limit placed on the size of its first-year intake last year.
A council spokesman said: “The limiting of the rolls takes account of applications that have been received so far, and the known demands within the catchment areas of each of these schools.”
