A new £75,000 landscaping and road safety project has begun on the A82 at Invergloy near Spean Bridge.
The project will involve teams removing trees too close to the roadside and installing new safety barriers.
New trees will be planted in the surrounding area away from the road to replace those removed.
The landscaping improvements have been designed to prevent the risk of trees falling onto the road in the future while the safety barrier will protect not only motorists, but also nearby residential properties.
Teams will begin installing the new safety barrier from Monday February 3 for two weeks.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and motorists, temporary traffic lights and 30mph speed limit will be in place throughout the improvements.
During some landscaping works, it will be necessary to hold traffic in both directions for up to 10 minutes while upper parts of trees are safely removed.
