Police are appealing for information after £2,000 worth of items were stolen from an Inverness sports shop.
The culprits gained entry to Run4It on Huntly Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The items taken included a Gore men’s running jacket, an Infinity Fortify blue jacket and a Nike women’s mid-layer top.
The incident, which is believed to have occurred around 4.15am happened just days after it reopened.
Local residents took to social media in the aftermath of the incident to express sympathy for the business.
Detective Sergeant Greig Fraser, of Inverness CID, yesterday issued an appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
He said: “We’re appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident or perhaps has been offered running clothes for sale in unusual circumstances to contact us.”
Anyone with information is being urged to contact officers on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
