“Selfless” Carl Stewart from Cromdale was rewarded with 500 litres of free kerosene heating oil after becoming a Local Hero winner.
Mr Stewart was nominated as Local Hero for his positive contributions and selfless efforts in the local community.
He fundraises for many local causes, helps the football team and arranges activities to bring the community all together.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Mr Stewart has supported households by collecting shopping and prescriptions, providing PPE, and manning the community helpline from 8am to 10pm.
The Local Hero scheme is being run by Scottish fuel distribution business Oilfast aimed at recognising and rewarding the efforts of both key workers and everyday members of the public, who have supported their local communities during the pandemic.
Mr Stewart is one of eight Local Hero winners who received the free heating oil from the firm, as a thank you for the efforts and contributions made to their communities.
