Two kitchen staff at an Inverness garden centre have tested positive for Covid-19.
NHS Highland said it has been made aware of the cases at Simpson’s Garden Centre and the employees have had no direct contact with customers.
The kitchen and restaurant have been voluntarily closed for 14 days as a precautionary measure, a spokesman for the health authority said.
The garden centre remains open to the public.
A post on Simpson’s Facebook page reads: “Unfortunately a further member of our non-customer facing team has tested positive for Covid-19. We want to reassure everyone that we are following all guidance from the authorities, however we have made the decision to temporarily close the restaurant as a precautionary measure.
“This is to ensure the safety of our staff and our customers and we will continue to work closely with the authorities at every stage and take every precaution necessary.
“We want to re-iterate that all steps are being taken and the restaurant will re-open as soon as possible. The garden centre remains open as normal, with our stringent safety measures, and we’d like to thank everyone for their patience and support.”
