Highland MP Danny Alexander has welcomed the creation of 17 new IT jobs in Inverness.
He also hailed an Inverness based Oracle development office, by software business ERPaaS Ltd.
The new centre of excellence in Inverness will provide a planning service which covers financial accounting, procurement services, human resource management and payroll.
The firm chose the city after discussions with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), which has supported the company with funding of £340,000. It is hoped to be the beginning of cluster of technology businesses in the region.
Mr Alexander said: “I delighted HIE have helped secure this new investment in jobs for Inverness.
“We have a thriving IT and service sector in the city. More and more, industries are attracted to the Highlands because of the economic stability, low unemployment and great potential of the region.”
