Emergency services were called to the road, a mile east of Inverness Airport, at the Raigmore interchange at 2.10pm. Police, fire and the ambulance service all attended the incident. The road was blocked westbound, with motorists being urged to approach with caution and make extra time for their journeys. A police spokeswoman said: “We were called out to a two-vehicle crash between a lorry and a car on the A96 at the Raigmore Interchange. “The road was blocked.” Two fire appliances were sent to the scene near Tornagrain. A fire spokesman added: “We were called out at 2.25pm and made the vehicle safe.” The road was fully reopened at about 3.20pm.
