An innovative social enterprise will open a baby boutique in Inverness this week.
Everything Baby, a local parenting support charity, has been putting the finishing touches to their premises at 108 Church Street over the past few weeks.
The new shop will open on Saturday, June 28 at 11am.
It will sell donated baby, toddler and maternity goods at affordable prices, with all proceeds being reinvested in the charity and in the provision of parenting support activities.
The first 20 customers will receive a free goody bag as a thanks for support.
Laura Ross, operations manager, said: “We are much more than a usual charity shop. As well as lots of lovely items for our customers, we have a parenting room where we will be hosting groups and activities and we also offer great volunteering opportunities to people looking for new work skills or just some fun.”
Everything Baby was founded by Katy Kitchingham, who won the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) Create Business Idea competition Best Social Enterprise award in October 2012.
The charity was established in April last year and has a board of five directors.
Generous funders include Climate Challenge Fund, Awards for All, Voluntary Action Fund and Isleburn Engineering.
