A Highland clan is gathering in Inverness today for a series of events over the weekend.
The Maclennan clan are heading for the Highland capital from all over the world to link up with all the distant family members.
The weekend begins with a series of gathering events will be held in the Lovat Suite of the Beaufort Hotel today discussing the genealogy and the lineage of the clan.
A meet and greet with the clan chieftain Ruairidh Maclennan and other members of the Scottish committee will be held in the evening.
The full family will come together tomorrow at Inverness Town House for a Clan Parliament to discuss the present and future plans for the Maclennans.
The clan will take a trip to Kintail, the homeland of the MacLennan Clan, on Saturday with a trip to Eilean Donan Castle.
The weekend will finish with a special church service at Ness Bank Church in Inverness before final speeches and the clan dispersing again.
