The north sizzled today with temperatures climbing into the high 20s.
But in Inverness where it hit 26C, this unabashed guy in his hot pants found the ideal way to keep his cool – by climbing out on a city centre roof overlooking Station Square.
The mystery sun worshipper on top of the Royal Highland Hotel remained on his mobile all of the time, prompting the startled officer workers who snapped his appearance to wonder if he was making a trunk call on his hotline… or perhaps it was the only place he could get a signal.
One woman said after the briefs encounter: “It certainly brightened up our Friday afternoon. When he finally noticed us watching him he did not seem the least bit embarrassed about being caught walking about the roof in his underpants and gave us a cheery wave.
“He was walking about the roof for more than 30 minutes, all the time on his mobile phone.”
