Inverness-shire grass fire

Firefighters spent almost an hour and a half battling a grass fire in Inverness-shire yesterday.

A fire service spokesman said the blaze at Loch Ceo Glais, between Dores and Torness, was reported at around 5.30pm.

He said: “One appliance and the all-terrain vehicle from Inverness attended the incident and the fire was extinguished by 6.50pm.

“No one was hurt and there was no damage to property.”
