The blaze at Daviot Wood, near Milton of Leys, was reported at around 3.20pm. One crew from the city was sent to the scene but a bowser was soon requested after they ran out of water. Firefighters were able to replenish their supplies and had extinguished the flames by 4.05pm. They remained on scene to damp down. Daviot Wood has been the scene of several wildfires so far this year, including two in the middle of last month.
