The owner of a missing guide dog has made a impassioned appeal for information about his beloved companion.
The young man has been without six-year-old Tess since Wednesday when the black curly coated cross golden retriever failed to return from a run off the lead near the old cemetery in Nairn.
Since then, volunteers have been searching the area along the riverbank for the dog.
However their efforts have so far failed.
The man, who does not wish to be identified, said the days since Tess went missing have been “desperately distressing”.
He added: “I’m desperately worried about her and it’s been a nightmare. I urge anyone who has information about Tess to get in contact with Guide Dogs, so that I can know she is safe and well. It’s desperately distressing, and I just want us to be reunited with her so we can get on with our lives getting out and about independently.”
Guide Dogs Scotland strongly urges anyone who has taken Tess in, or has any information about the dog to get in touch on 0800 6888409.
