Man airlifted to hospital by Stornoway Coastguard

A man has been airlifted to hospital in Inverness after suffering chest pains while sailing in the Highlands.

Stornoway Coastguard was called out to deal with the incident in Loch Broom this morning.

The man, who is in his 70s, was on a yacht with around 10 other people when he fell ill.

The coastguard helicopter took him off the vessel to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

There is no information on his condition.
