Youngsters from Inverness and nearby areas who have that extra special star quality are being encouraged to come along to Eden Court in Inverness and audition for the Christmas pantomime.
This year’s spectacular show will be the popular adventure of Aladdin and Eden Court are hoping for some talented youngsters to join the cast as the junior chorus.
Children between the ages of nine and sixteen are being invited to tread the boards and show off their fancy footwork and audition at Eden Court on Sunday August 24, at 9.30am for 10am start.
The popularity of the Eden Court pantomime has grown immensely over the last few years and Steve Boden who is managing director of Imagine Theatre, producers of the pantomime, believes their ethos of providing a top quality pantomime with a local feel is largely responsible for this.
“The open audition for the children is a great way of getting the local community involved in the production and auditioning youngsters for the panto is always a lot of fun, but also a real challenge as we see so much talent! We are proud of the fact we are able to offer all local children the opportunity to perform in a professional production as they can learn such a lot from the experience.
“We are looking for children with the ‘X-factor’ – that something special that makes them stand out from the crowd. They need to be bubbly, confident and great dancers who are prepared to work hard as well as having lots of fun!”
Add a touch of sparkle to your festive season with this magical mix of music, comedy, adventure and pantomime fun.
