Invergordon Lifeboat was called out to attend after concerns were raised about someone in the water. Aberdeen Coastguard said they were told the man was in the sea up to his knees. An ambulance spokeswoman said that they took the man to Nairn Town and County Hospital for a check-up. A police spokesman said: “About 3.36am on Friday August 1, police received a report of a man in his 20s in the water near west beach in Nairn. “Lifeboat, police and ambulance attended at the scene, the man was returned to the shore and taken to hospital for observation.”
