A major toy superstore is opening in Inverness with the promise of 30 jobs.
Smyths Toys Superstores announced today that it will be opening in mid-October at the Rose Street Retail Park.
Smyths will take over the former Dreams furniture and bedding store as well as an additional unit next door.
This will create a store with a trading area of approximately 20,000 sq ft.
The toy retailer expects to create more than 30 jobs in the area which will range from retail assistants to management positions, with further job creation expected as Christmas nears.
Dryden Geary, marketing manager said: “We look forward to offering the people here the best possible selection and quality of products, all delivered with exceptional service.
“Opening a new store in the area also allows to us to offer some fantastic employment opportunities to people in the local community. We are looking for hard-working, enthusiastic staff.”
Smyths Toys Superstores currently trade from over 70 stores throughout the UK and Ireland and expect to open a further seven or eight new stores in the next 12 months.
Smyths say it stocks all the top toy brands and the new store will officially open on October 11.
