A female was discovered at around 6.15pm close to Hungladder, on the Isle of Skye. A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed they were not treating the death as suspicious. “The circumstances will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal,” he said. Meanwhile, police were investigating after a woman’s body was discovered in Inverness. Officers have appealed for witnesses after the grim find at the city’s Island Bank Road around 5.20pm. A spokesman for the force confirmed that the body of a female had been found, but declined to say whether it had been in a house or in the street. “The death is being treated as unexplained,” he added. “Inquiries are ongoing and are at an early stage to establish the full set of circumstances surrounding the death.”
