Work has now been completed to revamp a popular footpath in Inverness city centre.
The Raining Stairs has been in a rundown state for several years and was closed in June for a £20,000 refurbishment.
The pathway connects Ardconnel Street and Castle Street.
Completion of the project was slightly delayed because of staff sickness and changes in work priorities.
But now the path is open again.
The works included reinstatement of drainage channels, repairs to steps and their underpinning, painting of railings, graffiti removal, power washing and weed removal.
The council believes that ongoing maintenance will be easier now that the are is free from detritus and debris.
The Central ward discretionary fund contributed £6,500 towards the costs.
