The pet owner noticed the cat had become unwell, and took it to a local vet. After the animal was X-rayed an airgun pellet was discovered. The incident happened in the Milton of Leys area of the city about three weeks ago. The cat had to be humanely put down as a result of the injuries it sustained. Police are working with the SSPCA to discover the person responsible.
