Police are investigating after a car was destroyed by fire on the Black Isle.
The incident, in the early hours of this morning, happened on the B9163 Culbokie-Balblair road at Newhall.
The vehicle, which the fire service described as a Daihatsu Tracker, was completely destroyed.
A fire service spokesman said that one crew from Dingwall attended and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
Police say that their inquiries are ongoing into the incident, which was reported at around 12.55am.
