Inverness fire crews pump out water from sinking boat

Two fire crews from Inverness using heavy-duty pumping equipment were deployed to a motor-boat that was taking in water near Loch Ness.

The alarm was raised at 9.05am yesterday to Dochgarroch, five miles south of the city, on the A82 Inverness to Drumnadrochit road.

There was no-one on board the vessel, which was on a pontoon by the River Ness, and firefighters gave the all-clear within 20 minutes.
