A man is understood to have been attacked at an Inverness beauty spot resulting in a heavy police presence in the area.
Police and paramedics descended upon the South Kessock area on Tuesday after the alarm was raised around 11am.
A total of six police vehicles and an ambulance attended the scene at the turning circle on Kessock Road.
It’s understood a man was attacked outside his home, close to the old ferry ticket office on the banks of the Beauly Firth.
The casualty was transferred into the back of an ambulance for treatment by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.
His condition is unknown.
Meanwhile, following a short stand off with police, a man was arrested.
A police spokesman said: “We received report of a disturbance on Kessock Road in Inverness at about 11am on Tuesday, November 2.
“A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries are ongoing.”
