Visiting to medical ward 2A should be kept to a minimum while staff care for eight patients suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting. The virus, which causes diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting, spreads in the air and is difficult to contain. Anyone who has come into contact with someone with the symptoms should not visit the hospital.
