A ward at the Highlands’ flagship hospital remains closed to new admissions because of an outbreak of norovirus.
But there are no new cases of the illness, also knownled winter vomiting bug at Inverness’s Raigmore Hospital.
Medical ward 2A closed on Friday after eight patients showed symptoms of the virus, which causes diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting.
Only one patient has been confirmed with norovirus. Testing of other samples have proved negative.
No staff are affected by the outbreak.
However NHS Highland is reiterating advice that anyone who has been in contact with someone who has symptoms should not visit the hospital, as the virus spreads in the air and is difficult to contain.
