Police are appealing for information about an alleged assault in Inverness in which a man was attacked by four other men.
The 52-year-old man was walking on Grant Street at the junction with Anderson Street when he was approached by a man, believed to be in his 20s, who asked for a cigarette.
When the man refused, he was approached by three more men and assaulted.
The four attackers then left along Anderson Road heading towards Kessock Road.
Details of the incident, which took place at around 8pm on Thursday September 11, have just been released by police.
There is no description of the attackers available and no information about the man’s injuries.
