NHS Highland is appealing to people attending the Mod to park in public car parks and not the patient and staff car parks at a community hospital in Inverness.
Visitors to the Gaelic festival are using the Royal Northern Infirmary car park in the city’s Ness Walk, which is close to the main venue of Eden Court Theatre.
Maureen Mackay, charge nurse at the hospital, said: “Several members of the public and staff have been in touch with the local management team advising of the difficulty in parking at the hospital which is not only causing delays but also upset to people who may already be vulnerable.
“While we appreciate that people will want to park as close to the venue as possible we would ask that they use one of the many public car parks in the area and ensure that parking at the hospital is left for those attending, visiting or working in the building.
“We have already contacted Eden Court and are grateful for the additional steps they will take to help to address this.”
