Police investigating a robbery at a betting shop in Inverness last month have arrested a man.
The 25-year-old was detained by officers probing a raid on the Ladbrokes branch at Balloan park in the city’s Hilton area.
A four-figure some of money was stolen from the premises on September 29.
Officers later recovered a knife and crash helmet, as well as a bicycle which the thief made his getaway on.
It is understood the items were found in gardens in the Hilton area.
Following the incident police released images of distinctive trainers believed to be of a similar style to those worn by the robber.
He is thought to have entered the shop wearing an open-faced motorcycle helmet with a scarf covering the lower part of his face, and forced a staff member to hand over cash.
Police said the cashier involved was “shaken but unhurt”.
