A one-man monologue written by a Nobel prize winning playwright from Italy is being performed in Inverness tonight.
Fellow Italian, Mario Pirovano, will tell the story of Saint Francis of Assisi, who lived in the 13th century and described by the actor as “the most important Saint in the church.”
His one-man show, without props, manages to bring to life a wide range of characters from bishops to soldiers in the show, Francis the Holy Jester, written by Dario Fo.
It has been performed throughout the world, and will be staged at St. Columba’s Church, Tower Road, Culloden, at 7.30pm tonight.
