This car appears to have found a safe parking haven – between the double yellow lines and the pavement.
Double yellow lines mean no parking at any time, but for some reason the line painters took an outward sweep when turning the corner at Alexander Place as it joins Young Street in Inverness.
This left this space that allowed this car to park inside the lines, perhaps thinking it was an ideal spot to park with impunity.
However, it is understood that while the driver might be on the right side of the lines, he or she could still be on the wrong side of the law if an obstruction was being caused.
The future of the traffic warden service in Inverness is under review after the police gave notice that they were not going to be responsible for warden duties and Highland Council was going to take over.
