A college graduate from Inverness is aiming for a career with Disney after receiving his HNC in 3D Computer Animation yesterday.
Ross Baxter, 19, from Inshes, said: “The course has been really interesting. I learned how to make 3D characters, do 3D modelling, and make animations.
“After being in the course for three months I was lucky enough to get into a job for an oil company doing architectural modelling for them.”
“I also did a 3D animation course with Disney over the holidays and that allows me a guaranteed job with Disney if I continue on that course.”
The former Millburn Academy pupil has now moved to Edinburgh to continue his studies after leaving the and hopes to progress to Abertay University before travelling across the Atlantic.
He said: “It was a difficult decision to leave a full-time job but I’ve always wanted to be a 3D modeller in the motion picture industry so it made sense to further my education to help me reach my goal.
“I know that in order to get into the kind of job I want, I will have to move to the USA, as that is where a large part of the industry I am keen to work in is based.”
