Car in field after A99 crash

A car is in a field after crashing off the A99 Wick to Latheron road.

It happened at 11.45am, one-and-a-half miles south of Thrumster, and no other vehicle was involved.

There were no injuries and the road remains open.

An earlier two-vehicle collision caused delays on the A82 between Inverness and Drumnadrochit.

The crash, which resulted in the road being partially blocked, happened just after 8.30am, around one mile south of the Clansman Hotel.

Nobody was injured but one of vehicles was damaged and blocked the road for almost three hours, before it was uplifted.

In a busy morning for local police, a crash between a bus and a car also caused delays on the A87 Invergarry-Kyle road, at East Lodge, Balmacara.

Again, there were no injuries, although there were delays as officers dealt with the incident, which happened at 8.45am.
