A82 shut after crash near Drumnadrochit

A car has crashed on the A82 Inverness-Fort William road just north of Drumnadrochit.

One person was trapped and the roof has been cut free from the vehicle to allow access for paramedics.

Fire crews, one from Inverness and one from Drumnadrochit, went to the scene after the 999 call was made at 4.55pm.

A fire service spokesman said: “There was one person trapped and the roof has been removed and the paramedics are stabilising the casualty.”

There are no details of injuries.

The road is closed to traffic.
