Motorists face temporary disruption in the Inverness area next week because of bridge repairs and the city’s popular Santa Fun Run.
On Tuesday, the C1112 Glen Affric Road at Innis An Droighinn Bridge will close between 9am and 4pm to allow essential strengthening works to the bridge.
The temporary closure will affect vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians but emergency vehicles will be accommodated.
And on Sunday, a number of roads will be shut off from 12.30pm-2.30pm to allow fun runners through.
Affected routes include Bught Road, Castle Road, Haugh Road, Bridge Street, Ness Bank and Cavell Gardens.
Pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
Access to and from Whin Park and those riverside properties affected by the closures, will be available to and from Glenurquhart Road.
