A toddler in hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a car in Inverness.
The incident happened yesterday in Sinclair Park, in the Smithton area of the city.
A police spokesman said: “About 4.39pm on Saturday December 13, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Police Scotland were made aware of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle and a pedestrian in the Smithton area of Inverness.
“As a result of the collision a 19-month-old girl was conveyed by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness with serious injuries.
“Inquiries are currently ongoing by officers of the Divisional Road Policing Unit, Dingwall, and anyone who may have any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
