The 19-month-old girl, named locally as Emma Perkins, was taken to Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow, after the accident on Saturday afternoon. It is understood that the youngster’s mother, Morag Guthrie, 46, was moving the car when her daughter walked out of the house unnoticed. The accident happened at the family home at Sinclair Park in Smithton on Saturday, December 13. Emma was initially taken to Raigmore Hospital having sustained “serious injuries” in the collision. She was transferred by ambulance to Yorkhill hospital in Glasgow for further specialist treatment later in the weekend. Yorkhill said today that Emma’s condistion was “stable”.
