Former councillor Thomas Prag is now chairman of the Inshes Community Association
Highland Council’s budget meeting started in festive fashion with a chorus of “We wish you a Merry Christmas” instead of the traditional prayer.
Councillor Thomas Prag gave a “reflection” to open the final full council meeting of the year.
Reflecting the fact that the local authority is discussing its budget for the next four years, he also told members: “It is not our money; it is their money. We agree this on their behalf.”
He then asked members to sing the first verse of the traditional Christmas carol.
